When did you last give God praise?
When did you last raise your voice in true worship?
Not vain, controlled, forced,
The Truth and Spirit kind of worship.
Does God deserve your praise?
For His son,
Who faced death that you may boldly take on life
When you were soaked in sin and covered in guilt
Now you are redeemed, you dance on the stage of salvation
Yet you forget the one who made the show.
You no longer wake up in the morning with shouts of
All
things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small,
All
things wise and wonderful,
The
Lord God made them all.
You no longer receive your meals with a sense and content,
care and the strings of that beautiful tune
Some
have food but cannot eat
Some
can eat but have no food
We
have food and we can eat
Glory
be to thee oh Lord.
Have you forgotten that you have been ordained for a life of
praise and gratitude?
Have you forgotten that God broke your chains to loose your praise?
You remember that song Óh that men?
Oh
that men would praise the Lord
Oh
that men would praise the Lord
For
His goodness and for His wonderful works
To
the children of men, to the children of men
He
has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron asunder.
Oh how you have forgotten those days of pure consecration
When you rushed with excitement to the altar for a cleansing
When all life meant was a time with the most high
When the focus alone was heaven
When the desire was for the coming of Christ
Now you are tired of waiting
His praise has gone sour in your mouth
His worship is diluted with doubts
His purity baked in your guilt
Hiding his praise, Yet sipping on his goodness
Complaining of lack, yet breathing life
Complaining of stagnancy yet walking on two legs
Complaining of sad days yet with eyes wide open you behold the
dawning of a new day.
God does everything good yet man sees everything bad.
You have forgotten the days when you sang
Everywhere
He went, He was doing good,
Almighty
Jesus, Healed the leper,
When
cripple saw Him,
They
started walking, Everywhere He went my God was doing good.
I’m not asking you to praise today,
I’m just asking you to think,
Oh man think.
Think of the reason,
The reason why you live,
The reason why you were called
The reason why you were created.
God can raise stones,
He can call trees,
He can summon the sun,
He can move the moon
Oh for his praise.
Think not oh man for a second
That you are His only source of praise,
Think not oh man
Start praising from a place of knowledge, not a place of right
If you were ordained for praise why then do you not praise?
There is someone asking now?
Why
do we sing?
When
we lift our voice to Jesus
What
do we really mean?
Someone
may be wondering
When
we sing a song,
At
times we may be crying
When
nothing’s even wrong
I
sing because I’m happy
I
sing because I’m free,
His
eyes is on the sparrow
That’s
the reason why I sing.
